Volunteer Introduction

Volunteers are a highly respected and a valuable part of the charity, whether working directly with patients in the Support and Wellbeing Center, supporting our fundraising goal or supporting our Digital Marketing aims. We rely on volunteers in so many ways, if you have a few hours to spare, we would like to hear from you.

Please complete the online form or call the Appeal Office and we will be happy to give you a form to complete.  If you can’t find all the information you need or would like to speak to someone please contact the Appeal Office on 01777 710444.

People give many reasons for volunteering; it can be a route into employment, a chance to try something new or an opportunity to give something back to the local community.  Volunteering can be seen as a way of:

  • Gaining new skills
  • Improving employment prospects
  • Meeting new people and making friends
  • Getting to know the local community
  • Feeling part of a team
  • Gaining confidence and self esteem
