Thank you to Lorraine
More brilliant community support, our thanks go to Lorraine Meacher-Lyons who raised an amazing £1,700.78 from her sponsored haircut, and to Wendy for supporting her all the way!
Thank you so much Lorraine.
Thank you to Gibbs and Dandy Worksop
A massive thank you to Gibbs and Dandy Worksop.
The team have donated 8 Amazon Alexa’s for all our patient bedrooms. This is amazing because the Alexa’s will give our patients more independence by being able to use voice control to play music, listen to books, ask the time and so much more. In time we are hoping that patients will be able to use their Alexa’s to change the lighting in their room when unable to do so themselves. This will enhance the patients experience with us here at the hospice.
Gibbs and Dandy have also donated us garden materials for us to use at the hospice, saving the charity hundreds of pounds.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support.
Thank you - Team Cuckoo
Earlier this year “Team Cuckoo” Phil, Jonathan, Anthony & Wendy, took part in the Beyond Lincolnshire Sportive cycling 66 miles to raise funds for the Hospice in memory of Michael Shearman.
The weather wasn’t kind to them but they completed the course and between them they raised a massive £2004.
Well Done and Thank you so much.
Thank you ASDA Foundation
A massive thank you to #AsdaFoundation who have given us a £200 donation from #GreenTokenGiving.
Thank you so much.
We are so lucky to recieve ongoing support from ASDA.
Memory Star Event 2021

8th December 2021 from 5:30pm

We are delighted to be able to invite you to join us this year

After the success of the Memory Star Event last year, we are pleased to announce that we are going to host the event again this Christmas, in conjunction with the National Grief Awareness Week, where on the 8th December at 6pm, UK landmark buildings and those supporting the event will light the country up in orange.

As part of our Christmas Memory Star Event, the hospice will glow under a light of orange to show our support, as we remember and celebrate our loved ones and we welcome the community to join us... more details of the evening will follow shortly.

Starting from 5:30pm at Bassetlaw Hospice - Due to Covid 19, this is an outside event only so please wrap up warm. There will be hot refreshments available including mulled wine. There will be a gift for you to take away.

Memory stars are available to purchase from the Bassetlaw Hospice shops in Retford and Worksop or from the office for a minimum donation of £2.

If you would like any stars posting to you please contact Debbie on 01777 710444 or by email at, minimum donation £3 to cover postage, over the phone payments available.

Thank you.
