8th December 2021 from 5:30pm
We are delighted to be able to invite you to join us this year
After the success of the Memory Star Event last year, we are pleased to announce that we are going to host the event again this Christmas, in conjunction with the National Grief Awareness Week, where on the 8th December at 6pm, UK landmark buildings and those supporting the event will light the country up in orange.
As part of our Christmas Memory Star Event, the hospice will glow under a light of orange to show our support, as we remember and celebrate our loved ones and we welcome the community to join us... more details of the evening will follow shortly.
Starting from 5:30pm at Bassetlaw Hospice - Due to Covid 19, this is an outside event only so please wrap up warm. There will be hot refreshments available including mulled wine. There will be a gift for you to take away.
Memory stars are available to purchase from the Bassetlaw Hospice shops in Retford and Worksop or from the office for a minimum donation of £2.
If you would like any stars posting to you please contact Debbie on 01777 710444 or by email at debbie@bassetlawhospice.org, minimum donation £3 to cover postage, over the phone payments available.

Leo and Caiden are both aged 11. In March this year their life's were turned upside down. When their Grandad ( Andrew Drobnica) passed away.
Andrew spent his last few days in Bassetlaw hospice with Leo's mum ( Andrews Daughter) and Caidens dad ( Andrews Son) by his side. Unfortunately because of Covid restrictions the boys were unable to visit, but would often facetime their Grandad.
Rebecca said "Leo and Caiden want to thank the hospice for the amazing and outstanding care given to their Grandad. So on Saturday 7th August they are putting on their Footie tops on and setting off from Worksop via the Canal to Bassetlaw Hospice, this will take them around 4 hours."

The boys target was £200 but they have already raised an amazing £570.60 including gift aid.
Thank you so much to both Leo and Caiden, what an amazing challenge, Debbie is looking forward to meeting you both on the other side of your walk.
Good Luck!
