Bubble 2026

Bubble Announces Bassetlaw Hospice as Our Official Charity Partner for 2026

At Bubble, we believe in supporting the people, causes, and communities around us - and that’s why we’re incredibly proud to announce Bassetlaw Hospice as our official charity partner for 2026.

Throughout the year, our team will be fundraising to help support the vital work the hospice does for local families at some of the most difficult times in their lives. From bake sales and a Peak District hike to a virtual raffle (and a few other ideas we’ve got planned), we’re committed to doing our bit to raise both funds and awareness for this incredibly important cause.

Why Bassetlaw Hospice

Bassetlaw Hospice plays a vital role in our local community, providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care alongside compassionate emotional support for patients and their families. Their team works tirelessly to ensure people are cared for with dignity, comfort and respect during the most difficult of times - something that has made a profound difference to countless local families over the years.

More recently, the hospice has undergone a significant period of change. Following a complete restructuring, Bassetlaw Hospice has become a fully independent charity, giving them greater control over how they operate and how their services support local people. Alongside this, they have invested heavily in refurbishing their facilities and ensuring all relevant checks, training and standards are in place, allowing them to deliver the highest possible level of care within our community.

What truly sets Bassetlaw Hospice apart is the way they go above and beyond for those in their care. Whether it’s facilitating special requests, supporting families through incredibly emotional moments, or creating a calm and comforting environment, their focus is always on what matters most to the individual. These small but meaningful acts can make an enormous difference at the end of someone’s life.

For us, this partnership is deeply personal. Bassetlaw Hospice has supported members of our own team and their loved ones, giving us first-hand insight into just how invaluable their services are. As a local charity, every pound raised stays within our community and goes directly towards improving the end-of-life care local people deserve.

Now more than ever, Bassetlaw Hospice needs continued support to sustain and grow the work they do. Any contribution - big or small - can have a lasting impact, helping them continue to provide compassionate, high-quality care for those who need it most.

How We’ll Be Fundraising

Over the course of 2026, we’ll be organising a range of fundraising activities, including:

  • Team bake sales
  • A Peak District hike
  • A virtual raffle
  • Additional challenges and events throughout the year

We’ll be sharing updates along the way and inviting our wider community to get involved wherever possible.

Support Our Fundraising

We’ve set up a JustGiving page where you can follow our progress and donate if you’re able to support the cause. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.

Ben Nevis 2026

Exciting news - Our Biggest Challenge Yet

We are going to be climbing Ben Nevis - limited spaces

12th & 13th September 2026

This exciting challenge starts on Saturday when we leave the Hospice to head up to Scotland for the Ben Nevis Hotel.

Sunday will bring the 1350m of ascent & descent of Ben Nevis itself, approx. 5 hours for the ascent and 3 to 4 for the descent. All under expert guidance. Returning to the Hospice after your epic climb!

We are looking for volunteers to join us and raise vital funds for the hospice!

Bonney, our CEO, will be taking part, and places will be secured on a first come, first served basis.

Please note, it is a climb, NOT a walk, and so you need to be fit in order to take part.

You will also need to commit to raising a minimum of £500 per person.

The hotel etc will be arranged by us and there are no extra charges - only the minimum fundraising target to hit.

If you would like to take part, please email Debbie on Debbie@bassetlawhospice.org
