This is Mallory. Mallory has joined Bassetlaw Hospice as our new Charity Retail Coordinator.
Mallory is replacing Sue, Sue retired this year after 13+ years in post.
So far Mallory is doing a fab job, working alongside the volunteers, getting to know the staff and making improvements within the Worksop and Retford shops.
Welcome to the team Mallory.
Exciting news!
We are going to be climbing Snowdon on Sunday 2nd October 2022 to raise vital funds for Bassetlaw Hospice!
We are going to climb the Pyg Track route, which takes approximately 5 hours to climb. We will leave the hospice at 6am in a minibus that has been organised, and the climb will start at 10am.
We are looking for volunteers to join us and raise vital funds for the hospice! Bonney, our Charity Operations Manager, will be taking part, and we have 10 places available.
Please note, it is a climb, not a walk, and so you need to be reasonably fit in order to take part. If you can walk non-stop for 3-4 hours, climb stairs or complete a park run in 30 minutes then this climb is for you! You will also need to commit to raising a minimum of £300.
If you would like to take part, visit our fundraising page and fill in the form to register your interest. We can't wait to hear from you!
New Year .... New Look
During January, we temporally closed the doors to our Retford shop and it was treated to a well deserved make-over.
We have had the shop repainted, new carpets laid and new fittings installed, including new window lighting, enabling the community to see the shop from across the Market Square.
To complete the make-over, we have installed a new till system in both our shops, allowing us to claim Gift-Aid on purchases. If you are dropping off any donations and you are a tax payer.... would you like to Gift-Aid your donations?
In December we had a brand new kitchen installed, this enabled the kitchen to flow much better for the staff and it was developed into a fully commercial work space, utilising all the space we have and it has been finished with a nice new shiny look to it... what do you think?
