Meet our Charity Team


Bonney

Bonney joined Bassetlaw Hospice in 2020. For the previous 3 years she was the Chief Operations Officer for a national education organisation that raised awareness of the difficult social issues that young people face, including trafficking and radicalisation. 

She also worked for WLDAS where she developed awareness and personal development courses. These courses were designed for victims of domestic abuse. 

Bonney's post before this was within the Health Care Sector where she was responsible for the project management of the Early Presentation Strategy with the outcome of people presenting symptoms of cancer earlier to their GP. This strategy was adopted by the Public Health Team and continues to be in use today. 

Throughout her career, Bonney has focused on management and service improvement and will be able to utilise her skills within her role here at Bassetlaw Hospice. 


Nikki

Nikki has been with Bassetlaw Hospice since 2014, her role is the Administrator and Accounts Officer for Bassetlaw Hospice where she also providing support to our Charity shops and volunteers.

Prior to starting with Bassetlaw Hospice her experience is mainly Accounts, Payroll and Office Administrations working in many difference industries as well as voluntary charity work.


Debbie

Debbie joined Bassetlaw Hospice in 2016, having spent the previous 6 years as a Regional Fundraiser for a national charity based in Nottingham. 

Debbie organises all the Hospice fundraising events from our ever popular Ladies Lunch to Pyjama Walks! Her role also involves supporting community fundraisers, whether that’s with guidance and advice or on a more practical level, Debbie’s always happy to help. 


Claire

Claire joined the team in June as a Retail Assistant and works across both Retford and Worksop Charity shops.

She has a wealth of experience working within retail and also alongside charities and non-for profit organisations. She has even won an won an award in a previous position for best customer care within Bassetlaw.

In Claires free time she likes to spend it with her partner, her 3 year old son Vinnie and her 14 year old stepson Callum as well as being a keen gym-goer.

 


Dale

Dale has been working at Bassetlaw Hospice since 2005 as is our dedicated Gardner and handyman. Dale has always worked in Bassetlaw and some of his previos positions include; installation of fencing for a local prison, building works and Nottinghamshire Conservation. 


Maxine

Maxine is married very happily to Neil. She is 56, has 5 children and 12 amazing grandchildren who are one of the main focuses of her spare time.  Maxine's family have always been involved in fostering which is an amazing privilege. 

Maxine said "I have worked in many roles from office work, childminding to retail I feel I have done a bit of every thing but this new role just feels right as Rotherham Hospice cared for my Nan with compassion and helped us all so much with her passing."

You will find Maxine working in our Retford and Worksop shops where she enjoys working closely with volunteers. Maxine is always happy to help, and always has a smile on her face.
