Volunteers are a highly respected and valuable part of the Hospice Team, whether working directly with patients in Day Care, or supporting our fundraising. We rely on volunteers in so many ways that if you have a few hours to spare we would love to hear from you.
We need people in the Hospice
Duties vary from making and serving teas, arranging flowers, chatting to patients. Volunteer drivers bring patients to and fro from Day Care - using their own vehicles and are paid a mileage allowance.
We need people in Fundraising
1) who could spare just an hour or two to help at the occasional supermarket collections.
2) who could spare three or four hours at a time on a regular basis we need help at:
- our Tea Bar in the Community Hospital, Retford
- in the Magistrates Court Tea Bar in Worksop serving refreshments
- in our shops in Retford & Worksop
3) who could help us at our events throughout the year, helping us with setting up, or serving refreshments or running raffles or tombolas at our events.
